Alex Valvassori is one of the Co-Founder of Complia. Alex began his career in the cannabis industry in 2014 at Mindful, a multi-state marijuana business, where he quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, he was responsible for all compliance matters across 15 state-issued licenses. While at Mindful, Alex quickly realized how challenging it was to manage all of the critical compliance documentation and information for Mindful. It was this challenge that inspired Alex to create Complia.
In addition to his role at Mindful, Alex was also the Founding Chairman of the Compliance Council, a subcommittee of the Colorado Cannabis Chamber of Commerce (C4). Alex has managed licenses of all types including cultivation, MIPs, and dispensing in both the medical an adult-use marketplaces. He has worked on projects across the US including Colorado, California, Washington, Nevada, New York, Hawaii, Maryland, and Illinois. Alex has also participated in several competitive licensing processes, including winning applications in Illinois and Aurora, Colorado.
